I dreamed about God Tier Nanna. For the record she was a Seer, possibly even the Seer of Space (although my waking mind wants to peg her as the Seer of Heart). more dream details )

The guy who draws the regular Supergirl book did an SDCC sketch of Steampunk Supergirl. It is pretty awesome. I saw it on Tumblr with a link (praise the lord, end days are here) back to his DA account. And here it is.

Hello author! *Waves* First of all, per the rules of the treatathon, this post is just a suggestion, and of course I will be happy with anything you write or create. I am actually pretty easy to please!

How did I not know there was an anon Homestuck meme? So much goodness. So little time. Damn you, laundry, my nemesis.

Braaains...!

Getting out of bed this morning was a struggle. The bus company moved my station so I had a longer walk, although the wait for the bus was perhaps less frustrating because the station wasn't so crowded. I am coughing pretty badly now, but on and off. I should go to the doctor, but I just remembered I've been sitting on a codeine prescription that I never filled, that he gave me for just this purpose. There's a pharmacy pretty close to my place and that should buy me sometime.

Like is so hard, woe is me, etc. etc.

Today in braaains!: leeches and decision making.

I am looking at wall art to decorate my place. I love botanical illustrations so this collection is sort of a jackpot. I also found this hat which is not wall art but damn. Can I justify it? I also want one of Ursula Vernon's prints but deciding which will be hard.

This anthropology and population genetics blog is both fascinating and confusing.

Sea unicorns and etc. I am pretty much addicted to this video and squiddles in general.

Last but not least: I am ludicrous and have not realized that this classroom has wireless until halfway through class.

Uranium Unicorn is so fierce.

A panel on "impostor syndrome" and yet another reason why I wish I could go to WisCon.

I am totally making these awesome-sounding lemon lime cupcakes as soon as I have the time and the weather is reasonable.

It's looking like I might have to spend a couple of months this summer living with my parents. I am trying to come up with strategies to avert the effect of this, while keeping in mind my general lonerless/homebodyness. That's a word, I swear.

Hey, if I made a TS3 sim of myself, would anyone be interested? Alternatively, would anyone be interested in me uploading a bunch of other sims I made? I am also working on CAW custom towns, but those take longer.

Aside from call the poor fellow "an Appa", this set of instructions for a flying-bison-themed van is simply magnificent. Fangirl mode on! Quick, where do I get some incredible ATLA icons?

My friend Fae is an incredible artist and I have gaping at the wonder of her art for at least *quick count* eight or nine years now. As an aside, she is also super hot. Because I am a horrible sap, I'm still nostalgic for the old pieces that aren't on her deviantArt, even though the newer ones are probably better on a technical level. Ophelia is one of my favorites of her new ones.

This blog post about writing atmosphere is interesting and particularly relevant to me at this time.

At this point, I should probably cut the linkspam short and brush my hair, or something. Maybe put on a shirt.

I just looked at my tags for this post and realized hey, I love verbs.

Don't miss: Lucy Loser! The inspirational tough love show about a perky plus-size gal whose hubby humiliates her into dramatic mouth removal surgery! From the producers of the big fat reality hit "Puke Your A** Off!"

More than one person thinks velociraptor vs. unicorn is bloody awesome. Amen.

It's a hippocampus! Pretty sure it's the wrong kind, though.

Day... Nine?

Hez has a cold, so we're taking a slow day. Yesterday Hez had a dinner party, which was nice. Before that we saw the Angel of the North, which is apparently one of the largest statues in the world, or some such. The facelessness of the statue is probably meant to invoke universality, but it struck me as a bit creepy.

I have not read the Twilight books (except a few pages from the beginning of the first), so why did I dream about pregnant Bella Swan last night? It was bizarre.

Things that I found on the internet today:

these two pieces of manatee-mermaid art. I have surmised that they are adorable, and in all ways superior to fishy-type mermaids. More biologically sound, too.

This piece of Supergirl art by the guy who's supposed to be taking over regular penciling duties. Given the instability of Supergirl's storylines ever since I came on the title, I'm afraid to hope. It is very pretty, though.

Beaker (of the Muppets) does an awesome version of the Ode to Joy, from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

He also does the Habanera from Carmen. Sexy beast.

Anyway, real life beckons. I did the shopping, and now I have a screwdriver with which to put together my new table. YES.
