Laughter Through Tears

Yesterday I had to reschedule a lab because I felt ill and exhausted. I figured I would rest a day, get a decent night's sleep and everything would be fine. Over the course of the day I got sicker, and now I'm fairly certain I have an upper respiratory tract infection. Bluh.

Luckily no classes next week, unluckily exam, followed by an all-night role playing party that I might have to bail on, and the Seder on Friday. Sure, you might think it's early to worry about the Seder eight days before it happens, but I have a counter-argument, which is: POTATOES. Potatoes are my job. This is a Rule.

I would much rather be squeeing about fandom. For example, Legend of Korra, which I saw the premiere of, and which will be showing up again with more new episodes in a couple of weeks. Or the Lost Girl pre-finale, of which I'm going to ignore the parts that displease me and focus on the Kenzi, I mean the good. Or Community, because Community, I mean Abed, I mean yeah.

All these exciting fandoms and their exciting occurrences make me feel like I was the person with only one close friend (Homestuck) who suddenly made a bunch of cool new friends who throw awesome parties. But not on Tumblr, because of reasons. Someone squee with me!

Purim Gifts 2012 was very gratifying for me. I wrote seven short ficlets and created six graphics. I enjoyed making all of them and they were well-received by recipients, and some others. I also got three fabulous ficlets and some awesome art.

I... could have sworn I had other recs? I can't remember them right now, and I've been working on this post long enough. It's really high time I got to my reading, anyway.

Why oh why will no one on the internet entertain me? I'm supposed to be reading pages of neurobiology for my January lab, and I desperately need to procrastinate. Sure I have about fifteen pages and I only read about two, but I can do all that tomorrow, right?

In other news I have three episodes of Community left and I am hoarding them because once they're gone I'm going to have to engage with reality or something. Or look for fanfic? Yeah, definitely the fic thing.

I was convinced that I finished watching S1 of Community until I started watching S2 and a few minutes into the first episode I realized I was missing something. Turns out I have three episodes left? Ehehe. Um.

Have I mentioned that I don't love love triangles?

ETA: Pierce just said that the Dean makes him uncomfortable and it was exactly like that scene with Eridan and Equius look I tried to make this not about Homestuck but it can't be done. Heh. Um.
