I'm in an oddly good mood, despite waking up too early for the weekend and not being able to fall back asleep.

Happy Jade! This alone makes me so glad I started reading Homestuck. Sadly it would seem most of the people who like Jade don't like Rose, and vice versa. Also, having new updates almost every day. *Scuttles off to read*

Mitochondrial calcium signaling and energy metabolism. I don't totally get it yet, but I'm working on it. Apparently it's high time I'm able to read and analyze articles like this, because I got a fairly aggressive e-mail from one of the program heads about presentations for next semester. This is the point in time where I have to send harassing e-mails to random strangers and ask them to sponsor me. Meep. :(

I have also applied for a bio-med internship and sent in a resume, which I'm not sure is up to scratch. I sort of signed up impulsively and then had to update it on the fly while also getting my assignments done on time. It's been a weird week.

I have a clementine. :D

Jade and Rose definitely like each other! I do think they probably have the weakest bond of the kid/kid friendships but that's only because the others are so strong.

The mild canonical support for various pairings moves so fast it's been quite illuminating seeing which make me go yay/no/meh. "Contains Terezi, Dave and/or Karkat" seems to be a common factor :) (I quite like Dave/Jade most of the time, but only with associated Dave&Terezi friendship, rather than associated Terezi off in a corner crying alone)

The most recent update is making me think "Dooooooom D:". I'm sick of seeing endearing animal/human hybrid children die :(

Yeah, it seems when there's a mixed gender group of friends the female friendships tend to be neglected. At least, I feel like I've seen this dynamic very often.

I find I am sort of attached to Karkat/Terezi, or at least, I basically like all their interactions. At a certain point it seemed like they were the two most important trolls and I liked that dynamic. I also have a secret fondness for Jade/Rose that no one seems bent to indulge. Maybe I'll get around to writing my own.

I definitely liked the Terezi/Karkat vibe too, I just have this major soft spot for the specific dynamic Dave and Terezi have. If they stay friends who make each other comics I'll be happy enough :)
