The Pleasant Life of a Superhero
Saturday, 5 July 2008 15:48More gratuitous Sim blather.
Lilith Pleasant's household has become one of my favorites. She and live-in girlfriend Ivy Copur are almost all I've been playing this weekend. I moved Ivy in only to find that she's a Knowledge Sim and her LTW is to become a Criminal Mastermind. A cop and a criminal in one household is too ironic for my tastes (at present) so I cheated her into a different LTW: Maximize 7 Skills. She's becoming the only Sim of mine to consistently use the Sim-Vac Aspiration Reward. She just masses up those skill points by robbing random NPCs. I think eventually she'll reach enemy status with Kaylynn the maid.
Lilith hit Captain Hero and now she has permanent platinum Aspiration, which is pretty awesome. You'd think it would be useless, since she doesn't need to skill for the next promotion, but her second LTW is Mayor and now I'm going after that. I want her to stay Captain Hero (since it's an awesome job with a cool uniform, and she flies to work and back) until she maximizes the skills for the Politics career, and then she can start close to the top, probably at level 8. It makes for a cool plot, if you think about it, a superhero becoming Mayor. Granted, she has to go through Judge and Senator first.
I'm having them adopt a child. Just one, because I don't want the neighborhood to get overpopulated too soon.
In other Sim news, the previous generation are by now all elders. Mary-Sue, Daniel and Jennifer all got their LTWs before transitioning, but John transitioned in the green and failed to get his LTW. Apparently you only reach your Golden Anniversary if the marriage has been perfect. A tiny flirt interaction that Jennifer had with Don Lothario caused her to get a memory of "having an affair" -- Maxis, you keep taking this monogamy thing too far! Worse yet, he's a family elder now, which means all his wants are to do with Lucy getting engaged, married, or having a kid.
Daniel, of course, was actually having several affairs, and Mary-Sue finally caught on and kicked him out. He moved in with the Caliente family, and is getting close with his third daughter. Nora transitioned to teen and I made her Fortune. Jason Burb aged into a Knowledge, and now has a mutual crush with Charlie Broke, who's Family. I'm skilling them all up to go to university. I actually had Alexander Goth drink Elixir of Life to get some extra time for him to amass scholarships.
The kiddies are too small to be interesting. Heather Huffington, my fourth Uni Sim, is still in her final semester. I'll graduate her and merge her into the main household sometime soon. Beau Broke is sitting in the Uni bin waiting to be moved into a dorm.
I'm off to play Lilith's adoption.
