General likes:
For the three fic gifts, I like it when the three stories are part of a bigger whole, but I equally like it when there are three unconnected things, or even three different fandoms. A fun twist, if you feel up to it, might be to create three different interpretations of the same event, especially if they contradict each other.
I love character studies and case-fic. I like romance okay, but I often enjoy more an emphasis on relationships that aren't romantic, or even ones that are ambiguously romantic/platonic, but not strictly either (alterous, if you prefer that term). Nothing's better than a really crunchy sibling or childhood friend relationship steeped with devotion, resentment, and ambivalence.
I tend to prefer my fictional morality gray-ish, but not grimdark. I like bittersweet endings as much as happy ones, but not usually the very dark, no light at the end of the tunnel ones.
I *adore* interactive fiction, but that's a bit ambitious to create in under 1000 words. If you feel ambitious, go for it.
All the fandoms I chose are full of characters that I like, though I'll try to list some favorites below. I enjoy fork-in-the-road A/Us ("for want of a nail", or the canon A/Us that some settings, like October Daye, have). I also like whole-setting A/Us, and I enjoy them most when there's some kind of parallel or resonance between the canon setting or the A/U one. For example, Spy X Family has a faux Cold War setting, but the theme of the evils of war *could* map nicely to a court fantasy setting, like 7KPP.
This is also why I enjoy crossovers. If you can figure out a way to cross over any two fandoms on my list (or even any of my Purimgifts fandoms of previous years), I'd be excited to see it.
General DNWs:
* Rape, noncon, dubcon: all flavors.
* Forced pregnancy, reproductive violence.
* Contemporary geopolitics.
* "Redeemed by the love of a good woman" f/m romance.
* Unexamined soulmates A/U. Deconstructions are fine.
Fandom-specific prompts:
Unpacking
Anything about the PC creating her children's book, or her art journey in general.
Would love to hear more about her parents and sister, and how they respond to all these tumultuous life events.
Based on her European souvenirs, what trips did she go to, and with whom?
Seven Kingdoms: The Princess Problem
I have frankly written hundreds of 7KPP prompts, over the years, so feel free to delve into any of my old letters. It's been a mainstay fandom of mine since 2015, or so.
More specifically: now that the full 7 weeks (and epilogues) are out, I feel comfortable asking for fics that play with the established endings, and maybe even contradicts them. What did Penelope do in Skalt, for six months? How did Avalie settle in, in the Corval court? What happened to Constance after her husband's death? And what about the bad endings? I love fics for games' bad endings.
Alpennia
I love this series, yet I'm constantly too intimidated to write fic for it. I always feel like my knowledge of history isn't deep enough.
So, I'd be interested in anything that incorporates your favorite European history facts into an Alpennian context.
Alternatively, a cute domestic scene would also be fun.
The Ministry of Unladylike Activity
I think this fandom cries out for either epistolary fics (between the kids, or from the kids to their respective families), or documentation. Exam papers, mission briefs, recipes, theater bills... It's a great time period for documentation fic.
I love Nuala best, but I adore all the kids.
England Series - K. J. Charles
I threw this in on a whim, so it's hard to think of any specific prompts or requests.
Daniel's Judaism appears in canon in two main contexts: firstly, as a social marker of being an "undesirable" (queer, Portuguese, a poet) in contrast to Archie's extreme English-ness; and secondly, when he expresses his own desire to keep Jewish customs, albeit to a limited extent. I'd like to see more on that second front. Daniel refuses ham when offered it, but he must know that any food he's served at a gentile table isn't kosher. For one thing, half of everything's cooked in lard.
So, how does Daniel feel about this? Is this a concession he's comfortable making to fulfill his job requirements? Does he generally keep kosher at home? Is it a gesture for keeping a connection alive to his cultural roots, and if so, how does it interact with the covert agent's need to maintain a constant facade? Many questions.
Beware of the Villainess!
I love Melissa and Yuri's interactions, especially the way that Melissa jumps up to protect Yuri from her so-called suitors, and how Yuri takes inspiration from this, towards the end of the series, to become more assertive. I wonder how that's going for her, and how it intersects with her growing place in high society.
For this fandom, I especially love stories with a metafictional touch. As the world detaches from being the vessel of a dating sim, rewinding to constantly torment Yuri, it must gradually become more like a real, fleshed-out world. What changes? What stays the same? Who benefits and who has something to lose?
October Daye
So many characters in this series that it's difficult to choose who to focus on. I like to see more from little supporting characters who hover in the background, living their lives adjacent to Toby's chaos, but not in it. For example, I really loved the Helmi POV novella.
Alternatively, delve into the mystery that is Marcia.
Long Live the Queen
This game is plenty dark, and this is where my love of bad ending fic really shines.
* An Elodie who was outplayed and ended up trapped in marriage to Banion. How does she proceed?
* What happens if Elodie deposes or executes several nobles? How do their new replacements get on with their capricious queen?
* With a high intrigue skill, the epilogue hints at her learning all the terrible secrets of the nobility.
* With a high military skill, she makes motions for Nova to become an expansionist empire again.
* What about all those missing Lumen crystals? Where did they go, and what was their journey?
* After the 100% completion of certain skills (like lumen!), what else remains to be learned?
The Saint of Steel
I am fascinated by Wren's backstory, and *obsessed* with the implications of Judith's handful of appearances.
Alternatively, the Bishop having just the worst day imaginable, but at the end of t all, things are at least a little bit better.
SPY x FAMILY
Threw this in on a whim. This is a Cold War-inspired world, so it's reasonable to assume that Jews, or something analogue, exist in it. How do they fit into the tapestry of espionage and intrigue? How does their religion interact with their political views, and with the war, both in public perception and in private? Very rich vein.
Alternatively, let's see Yor elegantly (and politely!) punishing someone who definitely deserves it.
KPop Demon Hunters
I long for a story in which Zoey is Jewish. Whether that means one or both sides of her family converted, or if she has mixed Jewish and Korean heritage, or even if she converted herself! Or a secretthird fourth option that I don't know about!
Alternatively, let's see HUNTR/X from the perspective of a fan, maybe one who glimpses their supernatural demon-hunting activities and struggles with whether or not to believe her own eyes.
