Bingo Card for June-August 2015
Thursday, 11 June 2015 08:31For the summer round of
genprompt_bingo:
Right now, I'm looking at a far-left vertical line. All of them are doable, but I worry about some of them being kind of vague. "Deities and followers" seems like it could make a nice way to expand the worldbuilding a bit and give some attention to minor characters. "Old and new" could be a lot of things, but the obvious theme to me is Aya's ever-shifting identity. The fact that there's a whole bunch of contrast themes clustered together might make the writing process a little repetitive, though, since they're all screaming for character pieces comparing Aya and Braugan in some way or another.
I could try a double line again (I last did that with last year's
trope_bingo and was felled by a Beauty and the Beast retelling that just wouldn't work). That usually helps narrow and focus the theme. Problem is, every other column has at least one problem square, so to speak. If I want to do a double, my safest bet is probably middle and bottom line. Virtue and vice/deities and followers produces a pretty simple combination, for example. Also, it would be A/U-light, or none if I'm creative.
| Canon Themes | Decorative when Broken | Magical Creatures | Plays and Scripts | Zombies |
