Look, I'm sick and I have therapy and travel plans and money issues and chores, but I just came in here to say that The 100 is officially now the show I didn't think I deserved. Like, I must have done something right in a past life to have gotten this show.

It's still at the point where it keeps getting better! So many shows start promising and deteriorate almost immediately.

But yes, this show starts so-so for me and then gets SO FUCKING GOOD.

No, I was just thinking about Orphan Black, since that's stating a new season now-ish. First season was amazing and I was expecting/hoping they would maintain/improve quality, but the second season was underwhelming. Maybe I got my hopes up too high?

Well I think a lot of the magic of S1 of Orphan Black were their gimmicks - namely, Tatiana Maslany. You're sort of expecting her and her mad skillz in S2, and they didn't compensate for that by say, writing a better plot/character development/etc. Like it was the same sort of suspense/action show I think, except you weren't as enthralled by the actress playing 9 parts.

But my expectations for S3 are... low-ish. I hope they'll surprise me! But every time I hear the words "male clones" I'm like "ok bye now!"

Ugh, yeah, the male clone program provides zero improvement to the worldbuilding. Not even from the perspective of male clones -> obviously engineered super-soldiers. But I haven't seen the premiere yet. My hopes aren't too high.
