Let's ignore for a moment that there are serious events happening all over the world and all around me. Let's focus on how self-centered I am. The agonizing fic of self-loathing that I have been wrestling with for more than a year is finished (as finished as it will ever be) and posted. Whether it's any good, only pelted tomatoes will tell.

I hate it and I hate myself and I hate everything. Everything's fine.

Hey, you're allowed to be self-centred about something you've been working ages on. XD

It's a great story. ^-^ I admit that I'm unfamiliar with show and the characters, but the piece works well then too. The emotions in it are very powerful and realistic and I love that we're never quite told what's happened.

Plus, it's made me curious about the show. ^-^

Thanks for the compliment. :) I often wondered whether the story worked without the canon.

Veronica Mars is a great show, but very dark. It's a neo-noir mystery show about a teenage detective who gets her start investigating the murder of her best friend. I generally recommend the first season a lot, although the subsequent two are not as good, on the whole. Still miles better than most things on TV, though.
