I'm at a point where I alternate playing Origins, Awakening and DA2. I have a game in progress in each.

Yesterday and today Garan Mahariel fought in the Proving, recruited Oghren, plowed the shit out of the Deep Roads, assassinated some people, got Morrigan's ring, discovered he and Morrigan were the talk of the camp, found Asala, initiated the first half of Alistair's hardening, killed three drakes, had his killshot of a high dragon stolen by Wynne, and is now standing at the edge of Flemeth's territory. Oh, and I unlocked an achievement called "Heavy Hitter" by having him demolish a dragonling with a single Arrow of Slaying. For something like 250 damage or something equally absurd.

I'm not going to play all/most of the day tomorrow. It's halfway through September and I've "relaxed" and "wound down" for a sufficiently long portion of the summer. Time to get my act together.

Meanwhile in Awakening... the Orlesian who was supposed to be my headcanon Warden-Commander for Lux Surana's ultimate sacrifice recruited Sigrun and completed her personal quest. I discovered that this quest was left incomplete in my first PT for the most foolish of all possible reasons: it initiates if you take a particular route through Amaranthine city. The city is circular/cyclic and I always walked in the opposite direction. This time I was dodging because Gerod is a templar and I was waffling about refusing Anders' personal quest. Natia Brosca lost Sigrun as a Grey Warden for no good reason. I still don't know whether Gerod will succeed with Oghren or not, his quest is a pain. I may headcanon him being infatuated with Velanna, though.

Meanwhile in DA2... Dido Hawke was an epic disaster because I can't game without consulting a walkthrough every five minutes. She became Viscount even though the epilogue said nothing about that. Eventually she vanished to become a bouncer at a whorehouse, hundreds of miles from Kirkwall, under a fake name. She kept in contact with no one, except Varric and Charade. I ended up importing the same save into a new game, a second rogue called Ivy. She was more deliberately sarcastic, more consistent in friendship/rivalry, successfully romanced Isabela and beat the Arishok in single combat on the second try. Now she's in act three. At the last minute I initiated a rivalmance with Merrill which Isabela is apparently totally okay with.

Dragon Age 3 was announced and I found nothing to be thrilled about. There's no info except technical details that mean nothing to me, and the name, which promises nothing. Until I know something about the plot, setting, characters, theme... there's no reason to assume I'll want to play it, just because the words "Dragon Age" are in the title. I may find it better to spend on buying the ultimate edition of Origins, so I can play all the DLCs.
