Language learning
Wednesday, 7 April 2021 10:27A chance encounter on Twitter has led me to finally download Duolingo. I started the Yiddish (newly introduced) and Esperanto courses. I've previously started learning Esperanto once or twice but stalled when I realized 1) it's aggressively gendered, like Hebrew, and 2) better yet, it's gendered by taking male words as default and adding a suffix to feminized them e.g. father/mother is patro/patrino.
Anyway, I'd been meaning to try learning a third language for ages, and there will never be a perfect language.
Unless you know a perfect language, in which case, by all means, tell me about it. Note that I'm not taking applications for "High Valyrian" or similar, no matter how awesomecool you think they are.
