It's not a woman's job...

There's something funny about The L Word. It will do the most ludicrous soapy bullshit drama story lines, right alongside something that basically goes out and says something I've been trying to crystallize for ages, and this episode is about five years old. I'm not even talking about the inconsistency of the characters, that can be brushed aside as a combination of multiple writers and crudely-drawn personal growth. It's the mixed tone that gets to me. This whole screed is deeply incoherent, because the show confuses me. I paused in the middle of an episode to write this, which tells you a lot, I guess.
