Heroes S03E04
Tuesday, 7 October 2008 23:58Okay... I'm sold.
I mean, it's not above criticism, I have some issues that are bigger than nit-picks, but basically, yeah. I'm feeling this storyline, finally. I'm feeling Gabriel Gray as a hero, Peter as a villain, scary future Claire, testing the waters between Hiro and Ando, Knox, Mohinder as Man-Bat... Yeah. Still a bit dubious on Matt's bit. Not too sure Maya isn't going to be wasted. Miss Monica and Micah rather badly.
Totally retract my initial appreciation of Tracy, but glad they're not doing a clone storyline. Just... she's exactly like Niki, and this is ground we've trodden and not liked.
If the choice for Claire is between being helpless and being a villain, bring on the villainy. It makes her cool. I'd rather she team up with Monica and fight crime, but hey, it's not happening.
Not sure what else. Uhh, the whole Matt/Daphne having a baby thing kind of preempts her being the Catwoman to Hiro's Batman, I suppose. It's for the best, maybe? Hiro is too awesome to be so Batmanish. It doesn't suit him. As long as he has Ando to keep him grounded and doesn't lapse into the embarrassing and uncharacteristic plot-induced stupidity of the previous chapter.
Looking forward to next week.
