Dragon*Con
Monday, 4 April 2011 17:38Last year, my brother and I wanted to go to Dragon*Con in Atlanta. Since it was only a day or two after my last exam, that fell through. This semester, I have only three exams and should be done with the last of them, worst case scenario, I'll be done in late July. So, after much angst we eventually decided to go.
When we were ready to book plane tickets, I discovered that I had no idea where my passports were, and hadn't seen them since before the move.
Oy.
So now I have to go through all the bureaucracy of getting new ones, which is a huge pain in the ass. This while still keeping up with weekly assignments, lab reports etc. etc. Plus the fact that my sleep pattern is completely disrupted and I'm exhausted, which somehow meant that I fell asleep before 10 PM yesterday, and then couldn't wake up today before 10 AM.
Also it is supposed to be storming today, winter's last hurrah or whatnot.
In the end it drizzled a bit, but nothing super serious. I got one passport checked off my list, and also got a new ID card with my new address for my troubles. I still have to do the shopping, but I do not know if I'm up to it. I'm out of coffee, too. :(
