Well, the seminar is over. I was more anxious than I anticipated, my hands actually shook while I spoke, which is new to me. I'm not sure whether or not to hope that it's just a little caffeine withdrawal.
The prof was pretty critical, I think if I had included more numeric data in the result slides he would have responded better. I also went way under time. The rule of thumb I used says one minute per slide, and I had 24 slides, but I apparently only talked for ten minutes? I have the worst sense of time. I could have added something more about methodology, especially in the association study which he seemed to think was the weakest.
Whatever, I'm just so glad that it's over. And I'm glad I got to slip in a little mythological reference without going overboard with the anecdotes.
Overall, I think this is one for the win column.
