So. Burn Notice is back and it's basically a delight how competent everyone is, after the disappointing second season of Leverage. I mean. I still adore Parker beyond reason and want to have her internet babies, but.

More sadly yet BN is backed by Castle, and after two episodes the character of Castle himself seems basically unnecessary. The whole concept of straight law enforcer putting up with eccentric pain in the ass, is that the PITA has vital skills that the cops/agents need. Maybe it improves? I mean, Fillion is less obnoxious than other allegedly charming specimens, but the attempt to justify his presence is kind of sad.

Other shows returning soon: Dexter tonight (which I watch mainly for the desperately hot sister character), The Mentalist, and True Blood, which I've seen. There are other shows I'm more excited for, but nothing so exciting that I'll go after it on my own. I think my favorite show right now is The Good Wife; I love the quiet dysfunction it's steeped in.

Also, TV people? I think it might be time to retire the name "Olivia" for a while. There must be five of them around simultaneously and it's getting confusing. Use BehindTheName.com if you run out of ideas.

The main thing I like about Castle is the character interactions -- especially with Castle's mother and daughter. I am pretty "eh" at crime shows in general, though, so.
