Coming Together

lea_hazelI spent much of the week occupied by moving-related concerns. I packed and packed and found even more stupid crap to pack. I directed the moving truck (a whole truck for four items? I thought he said he'd send a van). I waited on the cable guy while he replaced some of the infrastructure which he said was sub-par/out of date (I didn't really get it). Today I went to pick out blinds, and this afternoon I have to wait for the curtain guy to come a-measurin'.
But this are coming together/falling apart, and even though I won't be able to spend tonight at the apartment as I'd hoped, I'm still really pleased and excited. It will probably be months before I get things like a closet, shelf units, a sofa and an oven, but it will still be my place, and once I have my basic necessities I can start to feel at ease. And, um, take care of stuff for other people. I owe some people packages.
