Um, spamtastic much, I know, but I had to post.

OMG. All my favorite Israeli musicians are coming out of the closet. All. Of. Them.

Yehudit Ravitz came out a couple of months ago (Hebrew link) after being closeted forever. She may have been one of those people who everybody knows about but me.

Yehuda Poliker came out just now (Hebrew again).

Corinne Alal also came out a few years ago, when I was still in the army, I think.

I never know about these things.

LOLOL I attended (and was the organizer of) a talk by Gal Uchovsky with foreign GLBT journalists about Israeli entertainment and who's out and who isn't and he talked A LOT about Yehudit Ravitz (although I'd barely even heard her name before then and can still not name a single song by her).

Apparently she did a documentary at some point where it was her and her girlfriend and their kids at their house and "not once did she actually say the word lesbian" although "everyone knew, of course". So, apparently everyone knew indeed, LOL, but she just never came out and said it.
