lea_hazel: The outlook is somewhat dismal (Feel: Crash and Burn)

This is the end of week 4, as I count it.

Yesterday was a good day. Wednesday was also a good day. Keeping track of separate days is getting harder, though that also happens during the holidays at normal-ish times. For a second, I forgot that yesterday was Pesach itself and not the Seder. The Seder was very good! My mom sent food to me and my siblings, and we got to see (over Zoom) a family friend that we haven't seen in a long time. My dad was around for part of it.

I also designated Wednesday a day of rest. Finished reading a good book and wrote a little poem. And yesterday I wrote. Both fic and original.

Lately I rewatched Howl's Moving Castle and I'm wondering whether I want to catch up with a longtime gap and read the actual book. There's lots of good movies on Netflix that I've never seen and I'm filling in gaps. I never watched Totoro and that's next on my list. My brother and I exchange messages about what to watch next and how good it is, so that's a slice of normalcy.

I couldn't make kneidel for the chicken soup because I didn't go to the trouble of getting eggs. I rarely eat eggs and there are shortages so I didn't think I needed them. Didn't realize that the package mix needs eggs, but in retrospect, that was a bit silly. I still have the box and at least two cups of leftover soup so maybe on Sunday, when I go out for produce. I'm down to the last two apples.

I'm getting by. I'm okay, really.
