I got a tattoo.

I have two tattoos. I have three tattoos, as of Sunday morning.

I thought about getting a tattoo a lot as a teenager. I recall it as a big block of time during which my future vision of myself pretty often included the idea of 'someday I might have a tattoo, I could be a tattooed person'. It felt like a long time but probably was around two years at the most, objectively speaking.

It came out very pretty, although it doesn't look that way now. It's been two days and I'm about ready to peel off the bandage and wash and treat it, but from experience it still won't look healed and its best for another, oh, week or two. But it's exactly what I wanted and I suspect I will end up happier with it than I was with either of the previous ones.
