I am about two thirds of the way through My Sister's Keeper, some three years after
q_sama originally recommended it (when I decided to read it). My emotional issues make it hard to be objective about the moral dilemma within. The writer was probably trying to even things out so that the readers don't write off Anna as a selfish kid who can't put someone else's interests ahead of her own, but the mother comes out looking really bad, at least as far as I've gotten.
Yesterday I overslept and didn't have time to get a blood test. I have to be extra cautious to get to sleep early tonight, so I can get it drawn tomorrow. Results take about a week and my doctor's appointment is next Thursday.
In other book news, I am waiting on my package of books from B&N that I ordered as a birthday gift to myself. It's a whole bunch of books, so it'll be some time before I'm without something to read. I am also waiting on the fancy computer chair I extorted out of my parents. Once the incredibly inconvenient delivery schedule issue is wrapped up, my back woes are over for good.
