Lately I've been filling spare minutes with trawling various parts of the web for anything Lost Girl-related. I swear this show is my fannish crack. It's been ages since I've been so single-minded about a fandom, and never a TV fandom, I think. I'm pleased to report that After Ellen has finally picked up on this show's existence (off a Twitter tip, I think) and will apparently be doing weekly recaps from now on. I also adore this Ksenia Solo interview where she says:

When I first got the script, I thought, ‘My god! They will never cast me for this! To be honest, I had a really hard time preparing to play this role. It took me some time to find who she really was because I didn’t click with her right away. But then, something very indescribable and interesting happened. By the time we had wrapped our first season, I couldn’t shake Kenzi off. It was like I was in character every single day!

The same site has a synopsis for the next episode that's pretty intriguing, although no hint about the direction the Lauren storyline will take.

Another point of interest: I searched the Twitter hashtag to see where AE got their tip, and it was strange and enlightening. Mostly because I haven't used Twitter quite enough to be fluent in it. Anyway, a few people were tagging their tweets "doccubus" which confused the hell out of me. This morning I looked at it again and realized that it's (I'm pretty sure) a portmanteu of "doctor" and "succubus", meaning it's an unusually eccentric shipname for Bo/Lauren.

Being a natual-born OT3 shipper, this NSFW gif of the latest episode's sexytimes appeals to me best out of all the fandom's ship manifestos. Better yet, they have a lost_girl tag. :D

Better still, Showcase knows we're here. I'd like to think this means the show's got a good chance of getting renewed, but since I'm not watching from Canada (and I don't know if the show will ever get imported to Israel) I don't think I get counted. :( Still, apparently this will be one of those shows where the creators are aware of fandom. That can be either nice or weird, but I'm keeping my hopes up.

I also checked what TV Tropes had to say on the show and was somewhat disappointed.

This is supposedly a leaked video from the upcoming Avatar: The Legend of Korra, a 60+ years sequel to ATLA. Everything about this show, from the earliest rumors, to the creator interviews, to the first sketch of the heroine, has been super exciting. This video is no exception. I might have died of excitement before the show aired, but I have LG to hang onto.
