Icon

I will post my impressions of Icon at length some other time, probably not tomorrow because I have family stuff. But suffice it to say, I had a great time, although not all went as planned. Some panels/lectures were less fun than others, and the comics scene is still leaving me kind of disappointed.

But I did progress some 100 pages in Acacia, and I got a standalone novel about dwarves. Apparently it is time I put my money where my mouth is, dwarf-wise. So to speak.

The Israeli/Jewish SFF subject was a recurring theme in this year's Icon, which I found highly gratifying. Two noted (I think?) Israeli SFF bloggers displayed a strong presence. Certain insinuations were made that I need to ruminate on. And, par for the course, my mind started buzzing with story ideas that will probably never make it to paper. As though I don't have a WIP I should be paying attention to (which is not a little Jewish itself, in some ways).

I am still working on my tag system.
